For whom:
Persons with a degree of MA/MSc., MSc. Engineer or equivalent in any other discipline and persons referred to in Article 186(2) of the Act may apply to DSMHS. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge or interests in the field of the selected research topic (announced on the School’s website) in the discipline in which she/ he is going to prepare a doctoral dissertation and a very good command of the English language.

Entry requirements: 
Persons with a degree of MA/MSc., MSc. Engineer or equivalent in any other discipline and persons referred to in Article 186(2) of the Act may apply to DSMHS.
Doctoral candidates with projects requiring PhD student’s independent performance of medical procedures for patients must be:1. graduates from medical and dental faculties with current medical licence valid in the Republic of Poland or those declaring the completion of a post-graduate traineeship by the end of the calendar year in which the recruitment is carried out and the completion of Final Medical Examination/ Final Medical-Dental Examination, 2. graduates from nursing, obstetrics and physiotherapy faculties with current licence for the profession of nurse, midwife, physiotherapist in the Republic of Poland.
A candidate shall provide evidence of his/her English knowledge at B2 CEFR level, i.e. IETLS Academic certificate, with a minimum of 6.5 points or TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 90 points or PTE Academic with a minimum of 63 points or Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency Certificate – with a minimum of 180 points. The language certificate must be received within the last two years before the recruitment date. The following candidates shall be exempt from the requirement to provide English proficiency evidence: a.citizens of countries where English is the primary official language, b.university graduates in countries where English is the primary official language.

Word of advice
Each document submitted to the Doctoral School of Medical and Health Sciences must be accompanied by a certified translation into Polish if not in the Polish language. A certified translation into Polish means a translation that is certified by:
• a Polish certified translator (a person included in the list of certified translators in the Polish Ministry of Justice) or,
• a certified translator registered in a country of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, or another OECD country (if there is such institution as a certified translator), or
• the consul of the Republic of Poland, competent for the state on which territory or in which education system the document was issued, or
• a Polish accredited diplomatic mission or consular office of the country on which territory or education system the document was issued.
